Social Media–Small Business Slow to Adopt Social Media

According to Small Business Trends, small businesses are slow to adopt social media. A recent study reports: “In fact, 86 percent said they don’t use social media sites to get advice or information. Instead, they’re relying on search engines.”
I agree with the conclusion that businesses are unsure of the benefit of utilizing social media. Either they ignore it altogether or they put a “toe in the water” and thus ensures a poor result. On the other hand, small businesses that have embraced social media as they have the search engines, are benefiting from this additional traffic funnel.
